Update: mood definitely got better, cleaned the house a bit, played a couple of games of chess then noticed @schamangerbert was online so lurked on one of his games then I was spotted, and like a lion he pounced on his prey. I was distracted the first game and wasn't watching trades the second, but those are just excuses, he's a much better player. I'm not a strong player, still working on improving my game. And how did I enjoy these two?? I loved em, first time playing someone I knew in awhile. Got to definitely start pacing my moves better first, very much used to just 'beating the clock' on 1 minute games, harder to do that in 3 min games,... So time to crack open one of my books and SKID (I think that's what the Linux app was) and study. I'll be back for more @schamangerbert!
