Steem engagement - where can steem apps do better..

It's not the system, it's the tools. Most steem apps are still in their infancy, eSteem and Partiko are doing a great job, as are others. Speaking on estm and prtko, they seem to be setting the standard, from a user perspective, one that isn't so much worried about getting rich or joining a cause, which tbh, most people do not care about. People want to use tools that connect with others, or make it easy to stream of consciousness when they get a bug they want to rant about. This is where most steem tools I feel are lacking.

It's hard to follow a community (bookmarks for tags anyone?)
or
make sure you don't miss a favorite (irl friend, mentor, family) users post (notifications per user anyone?).

And that's probably a good starting point, along with only showing a users content, not their resteem (steemit let's you hide resteem) posts.
A profile page currently consists of their posts, and very small amounts of information on that user, where a more ideal system may have 'pinned posts' or even a 'media tab' for viewing picture of my cats easily.
There is much to be said, and I'll edit this post a bit more later as the days go on, but I did want to get these words out while they were on my mind again.
@partiko @esteem @good-karma @crypto-talk

Enjoy your day friends.
Stay safe, you are cared about and loved.
SemperNamaste,
