Coming home from getting groceries for dinner yesterday and noticed a small column of smoke rising up from the Regional Park down the street...
No fire crews had arrived yet, but some other cars had stopped and said they called 911... so I did what any curious idiot does.. and I took a closer look.

and off to the side..

eventually the fire crews started showing up

the next day...

all in all I'd guess it was about 2 acres that burned... probably started by some idiots cigarette or someone trying to cook a meal as there are a few vagabonds living in the woods right around here.
