Today was an exciting one at work. The manager yelled at one of the techs, going as far as standing over him at his workstation and shouting "what do I need to do, take your pants down and suck your dick". This left a bad taste in my mouth,... Pun intended. I have very few expectations of management in general, after working 20+ years in a variety of fields, I've come to learn that most people DON'T follow their passion and are in jobs they are forced to do only to make enough to sustain themselves month to month. That being said, I know when I don't want to do something for the joy of doing it, I do a piss poor job and definitely don't read the manual on how to properly do the task. knowing this about myself and my observations of others, I just don't expect from others. I appreciate when they come through, but I've abandoned expectations. Anywaysssss... A line was crossed and it caused me some stress that I've taken home with me. I've been mulling it over all night, and I don't see a way out of this easily.
So, I'm getting back to work on more of my other passions.
The walk tonight was very nice, aside from being mentally stuck on the work scenario. I kept going back to playing the "what if game", both past and future .. should I have said something to the franchise owner sooner, should I not say anything at all and just keep my head down when others are abusing their power, etc ... For the record, I took the harder path, and spoke up. Not my first choice, but nothing good comes from being comfortable and not breaking the norm. No more. Be the change you want to see, for the good of all, not just the ones you pick and choose.
Jumping right along, played some Pokemon go!! Didn't catch much, but slowly working on them missions.
Still loving fixing cell phones and bringing that joy to others (even if they have to pay for it) when they see their shiny like new (most of the time) phone.
Work on blokz.io continues behind the scenes, Jan 1 will be the next major rollout, with a preview of what's to come on Thanksgiving day.
Some fluffy bunnies from my walk. Ok, maybe a hare. Or something. Real life Pokemon. ^>^
Do something that scares you out of your comfort zone tomorrow. Stay safe and do it for the joy of it. Until next time all, have a beautiful time. See ya.
